Installing Tanks Blitz mods on Android

Two ways to install ForBlitz mods on your phone. We recommend the modified APK — Tanks Blitz: ForBlitz Edition, but if you’d rather not install it, there’s an alternative via Shizuku — for inexperienced users installing through it can feel complicated.

Method 1. Tanks Blitz: ForBlitz Edition

A standalone game client with a built-in mod manager. Install and disable mods right inside the game — no Shizuku, and your clean client stays untouched. This is the easiest path.

  • Simple install in a couple of taps — no Shizuku, no PC.
  • In-game mod manager: install, disable and remove mods individually.
  • Many older mods work again.
  • No need to delete the original game — it stays right there.

Method 2. Installing via Shizuku

Don’t want to install the modified APK? You can still add mods to the original Tanks Blitz client — via Shizuku. It’s more involved and needs a little setup, so we consider ForBlitz Edition above the primary method.

Works on Android 11 and above only

For inexperienced users this method can turn out to be complicated — if you’re not sure, stick with Tanks Blitz: ForBlitz Edition above.

What to download

  • Shizuku

    The app from Google Play — it’s what grants the access.

  • ADB (Platform Tools)

    From the official Android site — for launching via a PC.

  • Simplified ADB by ForBlitz

    A ready-made archive for easy PC connection.

Enable in developer settings

  • USB debugging
  • Install via USB
  • USB debugging (security settings)
  • Turn off automatic revocation of debugging permissions
  • Under “Privacy → Manage permissions → Additional permissions → Shizuku”, grant the app access.

Launch Shizuku one of these ways

Pick whichever is easiest — any single one is enough.

Over Wi-Fi (no PC, no root)
Recommended
  1. 1Connect to a Wi-Fi network.
  2. 2Open Shizuku and choose “Start via wireless debugging” → “Pair”.
  3. 3In the developer menu, enable “Wireless debugging” or “Wi-Fi debugging” and open “Pair device with pairing code”.
  4. 4Go back to Shizuku and tap “Start”.

Some Huawei devices don’t have wireless debugging — use Tanks Blitz: ForBlitz Edition or the PC method instead.

If Shizuku says “An additional step is required”, open the in-app instructions. “Disable permission monitoring” often helps — on OnePlus, “Disable system optimization”.

Via PC (USB)
  1. 1Connect your phone to the computer over USB.
  2. 2Download and unpack the ForBlitz ADB archive.
  3. 3Run the “#START.BAT” file and follow the prompts.
With root
  1. 1Open Shizuku and tap “Start” under the Root section — nothing else needed.

Now install the mods

  1. 1While Shizuku is running, open the ForBlitz app and grant it access through Shizuku.
  2. 2Select the original Tanks Blitz client and install mods as usual.
  3. 3After every phone restart, Shizuku has to be started again.

Some mods may not work because of a micropatch — a game update delivered outside the app stores.
